The ARTSY Male Urinary Catheterization Trainer is a realistic clinical skills simulator designed for the Shalya Tantra and Panchakarma Departments of BAMS colleges. The trainer enables students to acquire practical competency in male urethral catheterization and also serves as an ideal training model for Uttara Basti (Urethral Administration), one of the important Panchakarma procedures. It provides a safe, realistic, and repeatable environment where students can master the procedure before performing it on patients.
Designed in accordance with Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) and NCISM/MESAR guidelines, the simulator features anatomically accurate male external genitalia, urethra, urinary bladder, and surrounding pelvic structures. Students can practice catheter insertion, bladder drainage, aseptic techniques, and urethral administration required for Uttara Basti, while developing confidence in clinical and Panchakarma procedures.
