The ARTSY Female Urinary Catheterization Trainer is a realistic clinical skills simulator designed for the Shalya Tantra and Panchakarma Departments of BAMS colleges. The trainer enables students to develop practical competency in female urethral catheterization and also serves as an ideal training model for Intra-Vesical Uttara Basti, an important Panchakarma procedure involving the administration of medicated formulations into the urinary bladder through the urethra. It provides a safe, realistic, and repeatable environment where students can master the procedure before performing it on patients.
Designed in accordance with Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) and NCISM/MESAR guidelines, the simulator features anatomically accurate female external genitalia, urethra, urinary bladder, and pelvic structures. It allows learners to practice catheter insertion, bladder drainage, aseptic techniques, and intra-vesical administration required for Uttara Basti while enhancing clinical confidence and procedural skills.
